Job Description

Job Title:                       Director of Sales - APAC

Reports to:                   Senior Vice President of Global Sales

 

The Vice President of Sales APAC is responsible for driving the company’s activities as they relate to customer acquisition and account management. The VP Sales is responsible for delivering the operational and budgetary goals as defined by the company. Most frequent contacts include Manager of VP Messaging, VP Carrier Relations, VP of Customer Service, Service Implementation Manager as well as Head of Global Support.

 

Tasks and Responsibilities:

Direct and coordinate the company’s sales functions (sales, account management, presales engineering)

Oversee budget and implement strategic plans to promote revenue growth from new as well as existing accounts

Define, implement and follow up on sales and revenue metrics against plan

Oversee the hiring, retaining, coaching and motivation of the different sales functions.

Develop, implement and manage a compensation strategy that drives performance and reward top performers to effect continuous improvement of the sales organization

Work closely with Product and Marketing to identify new products and bring them to market

Collaborate with other functional leaders to recommend and administer policies, procedures and processes to enhance operations

Create and maintain a culture of teamwork and collaboration between the various teams of the sales team and other parts of the organization

Travel as required for customer and business needs

 

Skills and experience:

3-5 years hands-on experience with configuration, customization, integration and ongoing Salesforce.com administration.

Demonstrated experience using Apex and Visualforce.

Global experience with a CRM systems that spans across international users.

Excellent verbal communication skills and technical writing skills.

Strong interpersonal skills. A proven ability to present information, effectively interact with others and work effectively with diverse personalities is essential.

Demonstrated experience gathering business requirements, defining an implementation plan, and orchestrating a large update/migration to Salesforce.

Desired experience in business process analysis and workflow modeling.

Commitment to and record of strong customer service.

Strong analytical, organizational, and problem solving capabilities.

Effective time management skills and proven ability to achieve committed timelines.

Comfortable working in a fast paced environment and handling multiple tasks/priorities.

Good organizational skills and a strict attention to detail and proven ability to follow through.

Independent and self-motivated, requiring minimal supervision.

Previous experience from the mobile messaging and payments industry helpful, but not essential.

Degree education preferred in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration or other related field

 

Competencies:

Master Degree Preferred

Documented experience from managing in-house and field sales personnel

Proven success in managing sales from large accounts

Excellent track record in meeting sales target against sales plan

Excellent organization and communication skills, the ability to multitask and shift priorities as needed

Strong leadership qualities both with customers and employees

Ability to manage employees and drive sales performance

 

Highly Desirable:

Experience of managing sales in the mobile industry

Experience with CRM tools such as SalesForce.com
