Composed of distinguished telecom and business experts, these officers have years of pioneering experience with mobile messaging technology—as well as an end-to-end understanding of our customers' business needs.

Jeffrey Clark, Chief Executive Officer

As Chief Executive Officer at mBlox, Jeff is responsible for guiding the company’s strategic direction, and implementing its operational plans, and leading its continuing rapid growth.

Jeff has a long and distinguished career in the telecommunications industry. Prior to joining mBlox as CEO in 2004, he was Senior Vice President for Vodafone’s Global Platform and Internet Services Group, located in California. Also at Vodafone, he held various Vice President positions for the Vodafone Americas/Asia Region. His responsibilities included corporate development, operations, and corporate governance. Prior to the Vodafone-Airtouch merger, Jeff served as Vice President for Business Development in Europe at AirTouch Communications.

Jeff has also served on the boards of several major telecommunications companies including Japan Telecom, Airtel (now Vodafone Spain) and Telecel (now Vodafone Portugal).

Jeff earned his MBA at Harvard and has a BA from Yale.

Andrew Bud, Executive Chairman

As co-founder and Executive Chairman of mBlox, Andrew provides the strategic vision for mBlox leveraging his deep industry expertise. Andrew has a wealth of experience in the mobile industry and is widely recognized as an expert in the areas of mobile content, billing and enabling services.

Prior to assuming the role of Executive Chairman in 2003, Andrew was the CEO of mBlox Ltd, which he co-founded in 1999 and led to profitability. From 1988 to 1996, Andrew was head of mobile technology for Olivetti SpA in Italy. There he led the European development of DECT (the predecessor of WiFi), and launched Europe's first wireless LAN system. In 1994, while at Olivetti, he became the founding technical head of Omnitel (now Vodafone Italia). Between 1996 and 1999 he was a Director at Connect Communications Group, a leading European provider of corporate telecommunications services, and was the Group Marketing Director with Azlan plc, the £200m European distributor of internet technology. His earlier background was in mobile technology R&D.

Andrew is Global Chair of the Mobile Entertainment Forum (MEF), which he helped found in 2001 and to which he was re-elected in 2003 and 2005. He was elected global chair in 2008.

From 2005 to 2008, he served on the Board of PhonepayPlus, the UK regulator of premium-rate telecoms services.

Andrew is a Chartered Engineer and Fellow of the IET, with a degree from Cambridge University.

Gary Cuccio, Non-Executive Chairman

As Non-Executive Chairman of mBlox, Gary maintains relationships with mBlox’s external shareholders and provides operational guidance as the company continues to expand. He brings over 30 years of telecommunications experience to mBlox.

Before joining mBlox Gary was CEO of ATG, a large fixed-line telephone company and CEO of LHS, a NASDAQ-listed supplier of billing systems to mobile operators. Gary also spent 27 years at Pacific Bell where he held numerous positions within the company’s US and European divisions. He has also held roles as COO of Belgacom Mobile, an Airtouch Intl. subsidiary in Belgium and Vice President of Airtouch Europe, PacBell’s mobile operator business. During his tenure at PacBell Gary left to become the COO of Omnipoint, which later became a part of T-Mobile US, before returning to assume the position of President of Airtouch Paging.

Gary held an advisory position with mBlox for nearly one year before officially joining the mBlox team in 2004. Cuccio also serves as Executive Chairman of Openet Software, an IP mediation software provider based in Ireland.

Gary has AMP from Harvard, an MBA from St. Mary’s College (CA) and a BA from CSULA.

Steve Livingston, Chief Marketing Officer

As Chief Marketing Officer, Steve leads mBlox's global marketing strategy and directs all marketing activities including marketing communications, product marketing and product development.

During a career spanning more than 25 years, Steve has built impressive marketing and sales experience at market leading technology and telecoms companies including Bytemobile, AT&T Wireless, AirTouch, and IBM.

Most recently, Steve was employed as Executive Vice-President at Bytemobile. At Bytemobile, Steve was responsible for worldwide marketing, sales, business development and customer operations and led the company to a leadership position with over 60 mobile operator customers in 35 countries.

Steve has previously served as a member of the Leadership Council - CTIA Wireless Internet Caucus, was a founding member of the Center for Marketing and Technology at the Haas School of Business, and was Vice Chairman of the CellularOne Group National Advisory Council.

Ken Elmer, Chief Financial Officer

As CFO of mBlox, Ken is responsible for leading the global finance, human resources and facilities functions of the company. Ken brings financial leadership and a diverse background heading finance teams in companies ranging from a small angel-backed private business to several large subsidiary/divisions within a multi-billion dollar public entity.

Ken’s industry concentration has been in telecommunications and software applications but he has also been with restaurant and broadcasting businesses after beginning his career with Price Waterhouse. Prior to joining mBlox, Ken was the senior vice president of finance & administration for Tiburon, Inc., a public safety solutions company.

Ken has also been a division-level chief financial officer at Pacific Bell, Pacific Telesis Group, Visionael Corporation, The MapFactory and TCSI, Inc. At TCSI, Ken stepped into the CEO position working with the board to pursue an exit strategy, which resulted in a successful acquisition by Rocket Software in 2003.

Ken graduated magna cum laude with a bachelors in business administration from the University of North Texas and is a certified public accountant.

David J. Power, General Counsel & Secretary

As General Counsel and Secretary, David is responsible for overseeing the legal activities and functions of mBlox, Inc.

Prior to joining mBlox, David was the Vice President of Business Development and General Counsel for LightSurf Technologies, a private company that offered hosted services for the transmission and storage of multi-media messaging and digital content. He also has served as the Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary for Oak Technology, Inc., a publicly traded semiconductor design company, and as Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary for InSilicon Corporation, a subsidiary of Phoenix Technologies, Ltd. David later helped to spin off from Phoenix and take the company public in 2000.

David holds an engineering degree from Arizona State University and a law degree from The John Marshall Law School in Chicago, where he specialized in intellectual property law. He is licensed to practice law in California and before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.

Justin Leese, Senior Vice President, Technology and Operations

As Senior Vice President of Technology and Operations, Justin is charged with leading the teams that design and develop the mBlox network and technology platforms, as well as those providing global 24x7 technical and customer support.

Justin brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to mBlox and has over 20 years experience within the IT, Cable and Telecoms industry. During his career, Justin has managed technical teams, both large and small, in large organisations such as NTL (now ‘Virgin Media’), Scottish Telecom (now ‘Thus’), Scottish Power, and John Laing.

Most recently, Justin spent seven years as a Director at NTL, the UK's largest cable TV and telecoms company, where he held a number of senior roles spanning IT and Network Strategy, Product Engineering, Software Development, Technical Operations, and Service Management.

Justin has led a number of award winning projects receiving, among others, the UK’s Network Industry Award three times.

Justin has a BSc (Hons) in Physics and Electronics from Leeds University. He is a Chartered Scientist, Chartered Physicist, and a Member of the Institute of Physics.

Brian Johnson, Senior Vice President, US & APAC Sales

As Senior Vice President of Sales for the US and APAC, Brian Johnson is tasked with driving new revenue and maintaining current customer relationships. In this position, he leads the Direct Sales and Account Management teams in the US and APAC.

Brian has held executive sales roles in the telecommunications industry for 15 years. Prior to joining mBlox, Brian served as Vice President of Sales for CLEC start ups Winstar, Pac-West and ATG. Preceeding the CLEC industry, he directed sales efforts for Comverse in North America.

Brian holds an MBA and a BS in Finance.

Rob Hogarth, Senior Vice President, EMEA

As Senior Vice President of Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region for mBlox, Rob is responsible for growing the sales of mBlox's products and services in its largest market.

Rob has over 20 years experience within the telecoms industry working for key players such as BT, Motorola and Sun Microsystems. At Sun, in four years, he grew the UK telecoms business five-fold to become the market leader. He then joined FusionOne, an award winning software start-up, leading the EMEA operation, and more recently headed up the sales function for Macromedia’s mobile business in EMEA, quadrupling revenues year-on-year.

Rob brings to mBlox a 20 year track record of over-achievement within the industry. He is not constrained by traditional thinking and has an industry reputation for delivering improved sales effectiveness and productivity. He passionately believes in bringing customer focus to every aspect of the business.

Oscar Werner, Vice President, Marketing

As Vice President of Marketing, Oscar Werner drives mBlox’s global marketing strategy, business development, product marketing and the development of new products.

Between 2001 and 2004, Oscar was mBlox's Vice President of EMEA Sales, during which time he took the company to its number one position in Europe by doubling revenues year on year. Prior to joining mBlox, Oscar was CEO of CoTraveller AB, a mobile application service provider, specializing in solutions for the travel industry. CoTraveller was sold to mBlox in 2001.

Oscar holds an MBA from the Stockholm School of Economics and an MSc in Industrial Engineering from Sweden’s Royal Institute of Technology.
