mBlox History

mBlox was founded in London in 1999. We have grown rapidly by focusing on and simplifying the complexities of mobile payment and messaging infrastructure. mBlox has a reputation for unrivalled reliability, quality of service and support which has resulted in our becoming the world’s largest mobile transaction network.

December 1999

Founded in London, UK, as mBlox Limited.

2000

Becomes the first mobile transaction network to acquire our own Short Message Service Center (SMSC) for carrier-grade message transmission.

2001 - 2003

Expands internationally, opening offices and markets across Europe. Acquires rival SMS transaction network providers. Establishes relationships with carriers worldwide.

June 2003

Merges with MobileSys, the leading US provider of enterprise SMS services and changes name to mBlox Inc. Specializing in message delivery and billing, mBlox Inc, becomes the first mobile transaction network to offer PSMS in the US.

2005

Opens office in Sydney, Australia, entering the Asia-Pacific region.

2006

Expands Asia-Pacific presence, acquiring LaNetro Zed’s operator connectivity business and opening Singapore office to meet growing demand. Processed 1.4 billion A2P messages and more than $500 million in mobile transactions.

2007 and Beyond

Today, mBlox is the world’s largest mobile transaction network. We process billions of A2P messages annually, providing messaging services to the world’s leading corporations, content providers and marketers.
